Counselors have been working hard to finalize student schedules for this school year.
Students were able to finish their schedules in May, but after a few months of thought, may want to request a schedule change for this year. The process to request schedule changes is new. Two weeks have been designated for students to submit a schedule change request this summer. The first week was earlier this summer, and the second week will start on August 3 and close on August 10. First, students need to review their schedule in Skyward Family Access on the Weatherford ISD website. Secondly, students need to complete the “Schedule Change Request” form that will be available Monday on the Weatherford High School website. All parts of the form including the courses to be dropped and added need to be completed. Counselors will begin looking at the requests and making changes only if seats are available and the course is not a graduation requirement. If students are requesting to drop a pre-AP or AP course, this will require permission from a parent or guardian. Only one form can be submitted during the week but 2 changes can be requested on one form. This is the final opportunity for students to make a change request to be considered for this year.
