NGC Installs New Student Docking System Thanks to Our Great Community Partners!

Our campus is very excited to have added a docking station in our library thanks to some fantastic community partners! Now students can come in and charge their devices so they are ready to use when they need them. McDonald's on Main is sponsoring the NGC station for the next 2 years. Ebsco Professional Partnership Group is the company that supplies them and then goes around and gets local support through advertising sales. For more information on how to bring a docking system to your school, please visit
Students love it and think it is "cool"! It charges faster than a normal charge so students only need to leave device for a few minutes to get a good supply of additional charge. We are grateful to live in such a supportive community!

Book Spine Poetry

Students recently visited the NGC library and created poetry based solely off of titles found on the spines of books. The activity was called "Book Spine Poetry" and it allowed students to be creative with poetry. They had to have a subject/title and explain their thoughts behind the titles they chose to use. At the end of the period, students recited their poetry to their classmates.
