"Roos Against the Flu” shot clinic was a huge success! We would like to send a shout out to the Parker County Hospital District (PCHD)! Their nursing staff partnered with Sheila Carter, WISD Nursing Coordinator, to administer 796 flu shots to our students, staff, and community members.

Students recently visited the NGC library and created poetry based solely off of titles found on the spines of books. The activity was called "Book Spine Poetry" and it allowed students to be creative with poetry. They had to have a subject/title and explain their thoughts behind the titles they chose to use. At the end of the period, students recited their poetry to their classmates.

On Tuesday, November 26, students and teachers competed in the campuses first Human Foosball Tournament. Students created teams and competed in a bracket style showdown throughout the day. The final student teams, The Curry Cornhuskers and the Outkasts faced off in front of the entire student body for the chance to compete in the championship game against the NGC teachers! In the final game the teachers were victorious in a hard fought game against the Curry Corn Huskers! It was a fun time that had the students and teachers cheering their way into the holiday weekend!

The Greenhand Skills team gave an informative demonstration on plumbing for their agriculture skill and finished second place in a large group of competitors. They will advance to the state contest. The team is made up of all freshmen FFA students: Abby Davis, Maggie Glenn, and Levi Schutz.

The Student Leadership class at the Ninth Grade Campus held a mystery Skype with a class in an unknown location. Students from each class had 20 yes or no questions to try to narrow the location of the other class. Ninth grade students put their growing knowledge of World Geography to the test and pin pointed the other class's location in Canton, Texas.
